Giving Back

Alumni, friends and faculty have been generous in gifts to the department.  Some gifts have been for specific causes, such as scholarships for Applied Math Majors, the Baxter Memorial Lectures, and recently an Endowed Professorship.  Other gifts have been unrestricted donations that the department uses to improve the quality of student life such as student/faculty barbeques.

If you are interested in making a gift to the Stony Brook Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics, please contact the department chairman, James Glimm (glimm@ams.stonybrook.edu; (631) 632-8355) or deputy chair, Alan Tucker (tucker@ams.stonybrook.edu; (631) 632-8365) for more information about giving opportunities.
