  • Robert Frey Scholarship. Robert Frey, who holds a B.S and Ph.D. in Applied Math & Stat, is a successful investment fund manager. He annually contributes a full-tuition scholarship for an AMS major. A strong GPA is required; special consideration is given to transfer students (Frey was a transfer student from Suffolk C.C.)
  • Thomas Jefferson Scholarship. An anonymous donor gives $1250 a year to the department for a scholarship to a student with an average GPA (typically between 2.6 and 3.0) who has substantial financial need.
  • The Sheldon Weinig Scholarships. Sheldon Weinig, former SONY-USA's Vice- Chair for Manufacturing, is a friend of the department who has endowed five $3,000 a year scholarships for students in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. A minimum of two of these scholarships are reserved for talented AMS majors.
