Currently I am working on the statistical analysis of porous media, in particular Fontainbleau sandstones. I try to apply the methods of multivariate statistical analysis to the study of microscopic features of porous media, such as pore volumes, pore surface areas, pore coordination numbers, throat areas, etc. My hopes are that these methods will develop into a set of algorithms for generating and simulating random porous media with given properties.
