Research Interests
My recent research interests have been on the numerical investigation
of continuum mechanics, including both fluid and solid flows.
Some of the particular topics are
- Application of CFD to wind engineering problems,
which is the subject of the so-called Computational Wind Engineering
(CWE). From the point of view of fluid mechanics, this is the
numerical simulation of bluff body flows.
- Turbulence modeling, especially Large Eddy Simulation (LES).
- Numerical production of turbulent flow, and effect of turbulence
on bluff body flows.
- Numerical simulation of elasto-plastic materials.
