These are streaklines of flow around rectangular prisms with different aspect ratios. The streaklines reveal that the 2:3 rectangular prism, similar to a square, does not exhibit reattachment. The 1:2 rectangular prism shows some tendency toward reattachment, while the 1:3 and 1:4 rectangular prisms experience complete reattachement. These flow features are also reflected in the integral forces on the prism (the drag and lift) as well as the distributions of the pressure coefficient along the surface.
