Homework:
There are weekly assignments generated and graded by the homework website
called Webwork. You may attempt problems as
many as you want, until the posted deadline. You can redo homework and see the
correct answers one day after the deadline. Written solutions will NOT be
accepted.

Your login username is your first name initial followed by last
name (lower-case letter only), and your password is your student ID number.
Quizzes: There will be biweekly quizzes usually on Wednesday. The first
quiz will be a prerequisite test. Failure to take this test will result in
de-registration from the course. Generally there is no make-up quiz, with the
exception that you have a very good reason and let me know at least two days
before the quiz. The lowest quiz score will be dropped before the average score
is calculated.
Exams: There will be only one final. There is no midterm.
Grading
Policy: A letter grade will be assigned based on the numerical grade
given by the following scheme: 30% Homework, 30% quizzes,
and 40% final;
OR 15% Homework,
15% quizzes,
and 70% final
- whichever is greater.

OF THE HOMEWORK SCORES
IN ORDER TO PASS. THERE IS NO EXCEPTION.
