TOPICS TO BE COVERED
Probability and distributions; random variables; limiting distributions; classes of statistical models; sufficient statistics; point estimation; confidence intervals; likelihood principle; Bayesian estimation; statistical tests

ASSIGNMENTS
Given regularly. No late homework will be accepted. The lowest two homework scores will be dropped before computing your average.

TESTS
Exam I: Thursday, March 3, in class
Exam II: Tuesday, April 5, in class
Final: Friday, May 20, 2:15-4:45 pm, regular classroom

GRADING
Homework (10%), midterms (25% + 25% = 50%) and final exam (40%)
