Research Areas

I received my Ph.D. degree in Statistics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1992. After graduation, I worked in the Division of Biometry and Risk Assessment at the National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR). I have been working on many aspects of animal bioassay including carcinogenicity and developmental toxicity studies, and risk assessment at the NCTR. I also have developed a method of estimation and testing of drug shelf life using a two-way analysis of covariance model. I have been a PI for several statistical projects including a joint project with scientists for FDA/CFSAN and EPA/ECAO. At Stony Brook, I continued working on analyses of animal carcinogenicity experiments and won the NIH First Independent Research Support and Transition (FIRST) Award (1998-2003).
