The starting point for all analysis with the 3DMA code is a user provided 2 or 3D digitized image. This image may be a diffused image output by the anisotropic diffusion algorithm.

The processing options (main submenu) available are:

Cases 1 and 2 are designed to provide a sense of data characteristics. Cases 3 and 4 provide data subvolume isolation. Case 5 provides the crucial segmentation process necessary for subsequent analysis. Case 6 investigates the sensitivity of the data to segmentation threshold choice. Cases 7 and 8 provide tools for investigating the free parameters in the anisotropic diffusion segmentation algorithm. Case 9 is under construction. Case 10 is provided for data sets in which the image voxel depth resolution may not match the x-y voxel resolution.
