Welcome to the Wu Lab, where statistics meets data analytics!
We are a Statistics lab within the Department of Applied Mathematics Statistics and in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the Stony Brook University. Physically, we are located at room 362 in the building of Center of Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology (CEWIT).
The focus of the lab is on developing and applying new statistical methodologies for the analysis of genetic and financial data. Specifically, our research interests are:
- Statistical genomics: microarray, SNP array, MicroRNA array, methylation array
- Next-gen data analysis: WG-seq, RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, Methyl-seq
- Systems biology: gene network, pathway analysis
- Statistical learning: data mining, classification
- Statistical applications: Longitudinal data analysis, functional data analysis, mixture models
