ictor's First Attempt at a Home Page
ABOUT ME
am the system administrator of the Department of Applied
Mathematics and Statistics at the State University of New
York at Stony Brook (ain't that a mouthful :-). My duties
encompass all facets of
the computing facilities (hardware and software) in the
department which means that if it beeps and has a problem,
it gets dumped onto my lap.
If there are any questions or problems with the
network, please feel free to contact me. My (voice) number is: (631) 632-8170
or you can send e-mail to vipoon @ ams.sunysb.edu.
This page is mostly text-based so that it's faster to download.
In other words, I haven't gotten around to making a graphics page yet. :-)
Let's see, what else... Oh yeah. Here's a recent picture of me that I have
in case you don't know what I look like and want to find me.
It's in Hawaii (May 1999) and I had blast there. Click Here
MY QUIRKS
On Fridays (sometimes), I have rubber bands on my wrist. If you see me with them on my wrist, ask me why.
My initials are V.I.P. which inflates my ego to no end (as you can tell from the large letters in this webpage).
Most of my friends also have odd quirks which is why I like them so much.
Sometimes you will hear me humming the song, "I Wish I Had A Brain." Wish I knew the words... :-)
