Our implementaion
FTSG, the Fast Triangle Strip Generator, is our implementation in
ANSI C. It is available for free use in research. It is
also available for commerical use; a free evaluation copy
will be sent upon signing (via email) a non-disclosure
agreement (NDA). Please contact Joseph S.B. Mitchell
to obtain our code. Please see also the page on
Stripification of Polygonal Models by
Martin Held.
FAQ
- 1. Is FTSG source available for free evaluation?
- Yes, it is available free for noncommercial research
purposes. We will send you the complete FTSG source package
through email. It is also available for free evaluation
for potential commercial licensing,
once you have returned by email a non-disclosure agreement
with us. Please contact Joseph
S.B. Mitchell for details.
- 2. Can I obtain a license for FTSG? What are the costs and terms?
- Yes, a license can be arranged through the
University Tech Office. Basically, the license is a
one-time flat fee, with no further royalties, and gives you the
right to include it in any of your products. It is handled easily
and smoothly with minimal paperwork through the
University Tech Office (usually just a few emails back and
forth). Please contact Joseph
S.B. Mitchell for approximate cost details.
- 3. What if I have a question?
- For general questions, please contact either
Xinyu Xiang,
Martin Held, or
Joseph S.B. Mitchell.
For code-specific questions, please email
Xinyu Xiang.
