Survey of Probability and Statistics: Syllabus


SYLLABUS: This is a course on the theory and applications of probability and Statistics.
Topics: Probability Distribution and Density, Data Treatment Data, Sampling Techniques, Statistical Inference, Nonparametric Test.

Grades: There will be two mid-term exam (20 points each) plus a final exam (35 points). Homework is graded and accounts for another 25 points. Homeworks are collected every Friday and will not be accepted after being discussed on the blackboard.

You should hand in homework in class. No homework will be accepted after 5pm of the due day. Please make certain that you writing is neat and clear, and that you have expressed your reasoning, not just the final answer.
